The last time the Sooners were in the top 10 was the second week of October (when they were No. 6).<\/p>\n<p><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"ebc2999c-2ff4-8435-ca46-9641e9f9ea10\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/87\/notre-dame-fighting-irish\">Notre Dame<\/a> remained No. 9 after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/game\/_\/gameId\/401754597\/notre-dame-pitt\">22-point win<\/a> at <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"f09e85bd-989f-dcff-53ac-0feda69b8959\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/221\/pittsburgh-panthers\">Pittsburgh<\/a>, and Alabama dropped six spots to No. 10 after the Sooners ended its eight-game win streak.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap?gameId=401752900\">rolled past<\/a> <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"426a47d7-bf9e-2d90-af84-6533b43957e0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/26\/ucla-bruins\">UCLA<\/a> to improve to 10-0 for the fourth time in seven seasons, received 57 of 66 first-place votes. Indiana, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap\/_\/gameId\/401752901\">which beat<\/a> <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"79b14620-600c-7c79-3fb4-b62ed2a45ca0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/275\/wisconsin-badgers\">Wisconsin<\/a> to go 11-0 for the first time, got eight first-place votes. Texas A&amp;M, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/46977842\/texas-pulls-biggest-comeback-school-history\">comeback from a 27-point deficit<\/a> to beat <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"6509690a-8cf2-b255-5af7-b6a1a1010ac4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/2579\/south-carolina-gamecocks\">South Carolina<\/a> was its largest ever, got one first-place vote, three fewer than last week.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/46984534\/georgia-gets-dirty-35-10-victory-texas\">35-10 win<\/a> over <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"013a8bab-0dd5-f6a0-45e6-1128a124f34b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/251\/texas-longhorns\">Texas<\/a> was its sixth straight and second over a top-10 opponent. Mississippi, which lost at Georgia last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap\/_\/gameId\/401752769\">defeated <\/a><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"fe74bfd9-c15e-7b3a-ab25-ff4e5636282e\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/57\/florida-gators\">Florida<\/a> and is more than 100 points behind the Bulldogs at No. 5.<\/p>\n<p>No. 13 <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"8dbdf443-6ffa-7a66-b58f-c0a7484ead29\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/254\/utah-utes\">Utah<\/a> has outscored three opponents by a combined 153-49 since losing at <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"fd2097de-a7e2-47ee-cc8a-e215a2b104c4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/252\/byu-cougars\">BYU<\/a> and has its highest ranking of the season.<\/p>\n<p><a data-clubhouse-guid=\"2b3657a5-caae-31a2-899a-0d09df0f7bed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/2390\/miami-hurricanes\">Miami<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap\/_\/gameId\/401754595\">easily beat<\/a> <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"1a66a197-258b-8ac5-56f9-6f4b6ec4d4ed\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/152\/nc-state-wolfpack\">NC State<\/a> and moved up two spots to No. 14. <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"e2e3ae48-f880-5489-0628-b2286d0adca1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/59\/georgia-tech-yellow-jackets\">Georgia Tech<\/a>, which needed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap\/_\/gameId\/401754592\">field goal in the final seconds<\/a> to edge one-win <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"4abb970f-c9e6-7576-3daa-703957b91293\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/103\/boston-college-eagles\">Boston College<\/a>, slipped a spot to No. 15. Voters did what the CFP selection committee did last week, jumping Miami over Georgia Tech to make the Hurricanes the highest-ranked Atlantic Coast Conference team.<\/p>\n<p>No. 17 Texas took the biggest plunge of the week, dropping seven spots.<\/p>\n<p>The Group of 5 hadn&#8217;t had three teams in the Top 25 since four appeared in last season&#8217;s final poll.<\/p>\n<p>The Sun Belt Conference&#8217;s <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"d3179876-bd5b-83af-e4d7-e4aebd383f15\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/256\/james-madison-dukes\">James Madison<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/game\/_\/gameId\/401761652\/app-state-james-madison\">blew out<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/2026\/app-state-mountaineers\">Appalachian State<\/a> and moved up three spots to No. 21. North Texas is next at No. 22. The Mean Green of the American Conference clobbered <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"eaa0d4dc-a0ef-2faa-6c5d-ee4326bf5857\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/5\/uab-blazers\">UAB<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/recap?gameId=401762506\">53-24<\/a> on the road and have matched their best start in program history.<\/p>\n<p>The last time UNT was 9-1 was in 1959, when the team then known as the Eagles was ranked two straight weeks in November, reaching No. 16. That team lost to <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"e644e31c-a675-ce91-6e4a-78269c5b718a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/team\/_\/id\/166\/new-mexico-state-aggies\">New Mexico State<\/a> in the Sun Bowl to finish 9-2.
