He left South Bend after the year, though, entering the transfer portal. He chose to bring his talents to Syracuse and play for the Orange and head coach Fran Brown.<\/p>\n
SU has made the trip to Notre Dame on Saturday, and Angeli will be there. But he won’t be on the field.<\/p>\n
What started as a potentially special season for Angeli in his new threads has instead turned to disappointment.<\/p>\n
Angeli isn’t playing for Syracuse on Saturday, or the rest of the season, because he’s injured.<\/p>\n
He tore his Achilles during the Orange’s win at Clemson early in the season.<\/p>\n

Before that, Angeli had completed 62.8% of his passes for 1,317 yards and 10 touchdowns with only two interceptions.<\/p>\n
