BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC<\/a>) – FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY TUESDAY: <\/b>We are already seeing rain and storms moving into northwest central Alabama, like Marion and Lamar Counties. <\/p>\n More rain is expected to move into far northwest central Alabama late tonight, with the heaviest rain shifting from west to east after midnight. This will be our first significant severe weather threat of the fall season. Storms begin overnight and continue through Tuesday, with two rounds of rain and thunderstorms.<\/p>\n Round 1:<\/b>The first wave arrives early Tuesday morning over western counties and spreads east through mid-morning. Some storms may turn severe, producing damaging wind gusts and possibly hail. <\/p>\n This morning round will move east and become more scattered by late morning.<\/p>\n Round 2:\u00a0<\/b>Expect storms to redevelop by early Tuesday afternoon. Once again, hail and damaging winds are possible, along with a risk for an isolated tornado. <\/p>\n The greatest risk with the second round will be across southeastern areas. The severe threat should end after 8 p.m. as storms exit the region.<\/p>\n The silver lining:\u00a0<\/b>Tuesday is bringing us some much-needed rainfall, with between 1 to 2 inches expected for some locations. Now is a good time to clear drains or catch basins of leaves and debris in case heavy downpours occur. <\/p>\n Stay weather alert with your weather radio, fresh batteries, and the First Alert Weather App.<\/p>\n THANKSGIVING & BLACK FRIDAY: <\/b>Rain moves out Tuesday night, followed by clearing on Wednesday. Travel conditions look good on Wednesday \u2014 dry, partly cloudy and cooler. It will be cold by the end of the week. Temperatures will fall into the 30s by Thanksgiving morning, with sunshine and highs in the 50s. <\/p>\n A freeze is possible Friday morning. Otherwise, Black Friday looks pleasant for shopping, decorating, and traveling, with highs in the 50s.<\/p>\n IRON BOWL WEEKEND:<\/b>\u00a0The weekend starts dry, with lows in the 30s Saturday morning and highs in the 50s. Dry weather is expected for the Iron Bowl in Auburn Saturday evening, though temperatures will fall into the 40s during the game. Clouds increase Sunday, with rain chances returning by evening.
