Cowboy reserves have clocked<strong> 46.4%<\/strong> of the minutes (5th nationally, per KenPom) and scored<strong> 45.2%<\/strong> of the points.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>OSU put up a season-high <strong>57<\/strong> bench points against Nicholls to boost its season average to <strong>41.2<\/strong> per game (8th nationally).<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Lutz has used a unique starting lineup in all <strong>six<\/strong> games, with <strong>nine <\/strong>different Pokes logging at least one start.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>A dozen Cowboys are clocking 10+ minutes per game and 10 of them have scored in double-figures at least once this season.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>OSU has shot 50% or better in each of the last <strong>three <\/strong>contests, matching its total from all last season.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>OSU has outrebounded each of its first <strong>six <\/strong>opponents by an average margin of <strong>9.7<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>The Cowboys have reached the <strong>80<\/strong>-point plateau in each of their first six games this season and are a combined<strong> 18-0<\/strong> under Lutz when doing so.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>OSU is averaging <strong>9.3<\/strong> steals per game, ahead of last year&#8217;s school-record pace (9.1). The last matchup came on Dec. 21, 2019, against Minnesota at the BOK Center in Tulsa.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Scouting the Wildcats:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Northwestern comes in averaging 82.3 points per game and ranks among the national leaders in field goal percentage (22nd, .519), three-point percentage (15th, .419), assist-to-turnover ratio (6th, 2.13) and turnover prevention (11th, 8.7).<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Defensively, the Wildcats are holding opponents to 66.8 points on 38.1% shooting.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Northwestern (17-16, 7-13 Big Ten last year) enters the week at No. 47 in KenPom&#8217;s efficiency rankings (46th on offense, 75th defensively). The Wildcats are 5-1 with a pair of last-second wins over DePaul and South Carolina and a five-point loss to Virginia.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Senior <strong>Nick Martinelli<\/strong> \u2013 a second team All-Big Ten selection last year and the team&#8217;s only returning starter &#8212; is averaging a team-best 19.3 points per game, along with 6.0 rebounds. He was the hero in the Nov. 14 win at DePaul, sinking a pair of free throws in a tie game with 3 seconds on the clock.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>6-foot-11 forward <strong>Arrinten Page<\/strong> (15.7 ppg) hit a go-ahead layup in the final seconds of Sunday&#8217;s 79-77 victory over South Carolina. The former Cincinnati Bearcat leads the team in rebounds (7.0), blocks (6) and steals (8).<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>South Florida transfer <strong>Jayden Reid<\/strong> (13.5 ppg) has been the primary table-setter, averaging 6.2 assists with a better-than 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>13<sup>th<\/sup>-year head coach <strong>Chris Collins<\/strong> is a victory shy of 200 for his career (199-191). He led Northwestern to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance (and victory) in 2017 and added back-to-back trips in 2023 and 2024.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>This will be just the third regular season game that Northwestern has played at the United Center, though the venue has been a regular stage for the Wildcats during the Big Ten tournament.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n<strong>Matchup Mashup:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Former Cowboy guard <strong>Isaac Likekele<\/strong> is in his first year as a graduate manager on the Wildcat staff. The versatile guard is the only player in OSU history with at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>Four former Cowboys have worn a Chicago Bulls uniform at some point in their NBA careers: <strong>John Starks<\/strong> (1999-00), <strong>Corey Williams <\/strong>(1992-93), <strong>Stephen Graham<\/strong> (2005-06) and <strong>John Lucas <\/strong>(2010-12). Williams &#8212; a second round draft pick in 1992, was a rookie on the Bulls&#8217; 1993 NBA Championship team.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li><strong>Doyle Parrack<\/strong> (1946-47) and <strong>Joe Bradley<\/strong> (1949-50) &#8212; members of OSU&#8217;s 1945 and 1946 NCAA championship teams respectively &#8212; suited up for the Bulls&#8217; precursor, the Chicago Stags.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>OSU head coach <strong><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/okstate.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/steve-lutz\/3607\" rel=\"smarttag\" rev=\"3607\">Steve Lutz<\/a><\/dfn><\/strong> is familiar with Northwestern from his four seasons as an assistant coach at Big Ten rival Purdue (2017-21). His Boilermaker teams went 5-0 against the Wildcats during that span.<\/li>\n<p>&#013;<\/p>\n<li>This is the first of three games in three weeks for the Cowboys inside NBA arenas.
