The Celtics have maintained a relatively healthy roster thus far this season, sans Tatum. Neither Brown nor White has missed a game entering Saturday\u2019s clash in Minnesota. The team has experienced its ups and downs through the start of an uncertain season, but health has yet to plague them.<\/p>\n
Brown has stepped up well as Boston\u2019s leader in place of Tatum, on and off the court. The 29-year-old guard is averaging 28.2 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, and 4.3 assists per game. Brown is shooting 49.5 percent from the floor and averaging 32.5 minutes per game.<\/p>\n
He also hasn\u2019t shied away from calling out his teammates after a poor game, either. After last Friday\u2019s loss<\/a> to the dismal Nets, Brown told reporters that the Celtics need to \u201ccome ready to play or don\u2019t come at all.\u201d<\/p>\nOn the flip side, he\u2019s happy to praise his teammates after a good performance. Brown had plenty of positive things to say<\/a> about newcomer Amari Williams after his NBA debut Wednesday, filling in for the injured Queta<\/a>.<\/p>\nAs for White, he isn\u2019t having a dominant season to start the 2025-26 campaign, but he\u2019s been making his presence felt on the court as of late. He went off against the Pistons and helped end Detroit\u2019s 13-game win streak Wednesday, scoring 25 of his 27 points in the second half to help Boston win a thrilling contest 117-114.<\/p>\n
Of White\u2019s 27 points, he notched six three-pointers (on 11 attempts) and seven free throws (100 percent). He logged seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block in his breakout night.<\/p>\n
Perhaps still riding high from his performance, White will hope to carry that momentum into Saturday\u2019s game. The 31-year-old guard will look to further improve his season average of 16 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 5.1 APG on the first night of a back-to-back.<\/p>\n
Tipoff for Celtics-Timberwolves is slated for 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Then, Boston travels to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers (12-8) at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.<\/p>\n
