Two months after her ex-husband Orlando Bloom<\/a> and longtime partner Katy Perry<\/a> confirmed their split, Miranda Kerr<\/a> is breaking her silence on the breakup, calling their blended unit \u201cone big, happy family.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Speaking on KIIS FM\u2019s \u201cKyle & Jackie O\u201d<\/a> show on September 3\u2014two months exactly after Bloom and Perry released a joint statement about the matter on July 3\u2014Kerr said that not only was the split amicable, but that she\u2019s seen Bloom and Perry together since it happened.\n<\/p>\n <\/span> \u201cI actually just saw them both on the weekend,\u201d the model said. \u201cWe were celebrating Daisy\u2019s birthday\u201d\u2014referring to Bloom and Perry\u2019s daughter Daisy Dove, who turned 5 years old on August 26. Kerr and Bloom, for their part, share 14-year-old son Flynn.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re one big, happy family,\u201d Kerr continued. \u201cKaty is amazing. I love her. And Orlando, obviously.\u201d\n<\/p>\n <\/span> Like Kerr and Bloom did, Kerr noted that it was important to keep a breakup \u201charmonious\u201d when children are involved: \u201cIf you do have animosity, it only hurts yourself,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Perry seems to be on the same wavelength. A source told People<\/em><\/a> back on June 26 that \u201cKaty has every intention of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando. He\u2019s the father of their daughter, and that will always come first for her.\u201d\n<\/p>\n <\/span> The insider added of Bloom and Perry, \u201cThey\u2019ve been through a lot together, and while they\u2019ve decided to go their separate ways, there\u2019s still a mutual respect between them. They\u2019re still very much in touch and co-parenting Daisy together. For the sake of their daughter, they\u2019re committed to keeping things amicable.\u201d<\/p>\n Kerr has referred to her relationship with Bloom and Perry as a \u201cblended family,\u201d telling Access Hollywood<\/em><\/a> that \u201cwe go on family vacations together. We enjoy each others\u2019 company.
