Dr. Cletus Iwuagwu\u00a0was last seen around 2 a.m. on Tuesday in the Stone Oak area in Springfield Township.<\/p>\n
Despite multiple searches by police using drones and K-9 teams, no trace of Iwuagwu has been found.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
On Sunday, Iwuagwu\u2019s daughters joined dozens of volunteers across the Stone Oak community to search the area where he was last spotted.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\u201cHe is a community man. He has dedicated his life to taking care of others. It’s only right that we try and find him and bring him home,\u201d said Siti Dotson-Chambers, a community member who helped organize the search.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
Dotson-Chambers said she reached out to Iwuagwu\u2019s daughter after seeing posts online about his disappearance. A call for volunteers on Facebook brought a large turnout.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\u201cWe don’t know what direction he went in. It looked as if he didn’t leave in the car. At this point in time, we don’t have a lot of answers. We just want to find him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
Iwuagwu\u2019s oldest daughter, Kanisha Byers-Smith, urged the public to remain alert.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\u201cPlease keep your eyes open. If you see anything, if you hear anything, please reach out to myself, any of my sisters, my husband. We are active on Facebook,\u201d said Byers-Smith.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
She added that while her father\u2019s disappearance has been overwhelming, the community\u2019s support has offered hope.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\u201cOur father is active in the community. He takes care and loves his patients. He’s taken care of a whole village his entire life. So to have a village show up for him just means the world to us. We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
Police ask anyone with information about Iwuagwu\u2019s whereabouts to contact local Lucas County Sheriff’s Office at 419-213-4900.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
