Coach Kirby Smart <\/a>on Thursday, Dec. 4, wasn\u2019t ready to say that the redshirt junior center will be out for the rest of the season with a foot injury.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d be speculating because I still don\u2019t know, determined what we\u2019re going to do, with the injury he has,\u201d Smart said. \u201cUntil we determine that, I\u2019d rather not comment on that.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bulldogs already turned to backup Malachi Toliver when Bobo missed the win over Charlotte two weeks ago with a hand injury. The redshirt freshman also played the second half of the win over Georgia<\/a> Tech on Nov. 28.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got a lot of guys that have worked at that position throughout the year,\u201d Smart said. \u201cDrew has been dealing with an injury the past three to four weeks prior to this week, so we had the good fortune to get a lot of reps for Cortez (Smith) and Malachi and Donnie Glover. All of those guys have been getting reps at center probably for three or four weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n Toliver and Smith have taken reps this season even on the scout team \u201cagainst big, physical people,\u201d Smart said.<\/p>\n Smart said he wasn\u2019t ready to disclose who will start at center against Alabama.<\/p>\n \u201cThe good thing is we\u2019ve got three of them that are very capable,\u201d Smart said.<\/p>\n Smart also said that running back Bo Walker, who was listed as out for Saturday on the SEC availability report, needed surgery after what was reported to be an automobile accident. Smart didn\u2019t provide details on the nature of the surgery.<\/p>\n Georgia freshman wide receiver Talyn Taylor is available to play Saturday after being out since the Alabama game in September with an upper body injury.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s trying to get back in the flow of things,\u201d Smart said. \u201cThat\u2019s important you get back in the flow of things. It\u2019s not like you can just click your heels together and be back. He\u2019s got to do that from a stamina standpoint. He has to do that from a contact standpoint and from a confidence standpoint.\u201d<\/p>\n As for freshman tight end Ethan Barbour, Smart said he\u2019s progressing from his ankle injury. He\u2019s listed still as out for Saturday.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s just able to do more,\u201d Smart said. \u201cHe\u2019s able to run, he\u2019s off the scooter, he\u2019s moving around.\u201d<\/p>\n Smart said Barbour has done light work like individual drills.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s still a slow process for him,\u201d Smart said. \u201cIt was a significant injury. He\u2019s been in great spirits. I\u2019m really proud of the way that kid has handled things. He\u2019s been attentive. He\u2019s such a good energy guy and a great team guy, the way he\u2019s around the team, around walk throughs and into things.
