In Kris&#8217; free time, he lives his NBA dreams at men&#8217;s leagues across Los Angeles.<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>LOS ANGELES &#8212; <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"84caf62b-c753-71ea-a787-44fd224a4294\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/lac\/los-angeles-chargers\">Chargers<\/a> rookie running back <a data-player-guid=\"757d9056-88c7-3df1-b2e3-f6f8f186780b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4685382\/omarion-hampton\">Omarion Hampton<\/a> is expected to play on &#8220;Monday Night Football&#8221; against the <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"d1a9b001-1df7-fbd7-ae4c-6ca7065286ec\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/phi\/philadelphia-eagles\">Eagles<\/a>, a source told ESPN&#8217;s Jeremy Fowler on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Hampton, as well as fellow running back <a data-player-guid=\"1575518f-580b-610b-fe8e-7bf51e49054b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4372071\/hassan-haskins\">Hassan Haskins<\/a> and quarterback <a data-player-guid=\"ec880cbc-1490-cdae-548f-f844104974ae\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4038941\/justin-herbert\">Justin Herbert<\/a>, is listed as questionable for Week 14.<\/p>\n<p>Herbert, who underwent surgery on his fractured left hand Monday, said earlier in the week that he is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/47194738\/chargers-justin-herbert-coming-hand-surgery-preparing-play-vs-eagles-mnf\">preparing to play<\/a> against the Eagles and was a limited participant in practice all week.<\/p>\n<p>Hampton hasn&#8217;t played since Week 5, when he suffered a left ankle fracture that landed him on injured reserve. Hampton returned to practice last week, but the Chargers decided against activating him against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/lv\/las-vegas-raiders\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He had been practicing in a yellow jersey, which coach Jim Harbaugh puts on players who are working through injury. But at Friday&#8217;s practice, Hampton was back in blue with the rest of the offense, a sign he was progressing well.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a name=\"&amp;lpos=story:editorspicks:inline:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/47194738\/chargers-justin-herbert-coming-hand-surgery-preparing-play-vs-eagles-mnf\" class=\"img-link\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/r1584532_1296x1296_1-1.jpg&amp;w=130&amp;h=130&amp;scale=crop&amp;location=center.jpeg\" width=\"65\" height=\"65\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li \/><\/ul>\n<p>1 Related<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>As he did last week, Hampton said he feels ready to play and back to his old self.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If it&#8217;s up to me. I&#8217;ll always play,&#8221; Hampton said. &#8220;But I got to wait for the doc. Whatever they say goes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Without Hampton, the Chargers have leaned on running back <a data-player-guid=\"aacf047c-8ddd-3655-82bb-d830fa10697e\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4430968\/kimani-vidal\">Kimani Vidal<\/a>. Vidal, a sixth-round pick in 2024, was released ahead of the Chargers&#8217; roster cuts to 53 players, but he returned to the practice squad and was signed to the active roster after the injuries to Hampton and <a data-player-guid=\"c1c771f1-75c3-3915-f07e-d4c9a11c7ad4\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4241457\/najee-harris\">Najee Harris<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Vidal, who had 43 carries for 155 yards last season, has emerged as a &#8220;No. 1 running back,&#8221; according to Harbaugh. He has had three games with 100 or more rushing yards, the most for a Chargers player in a single season since Melvin Gordon in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s amazing just to see him go out there and just produce the way he does,&#8221; Hampton said. &#8220;&#8230; Me and him gonna be special.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Chargers took Hampton with the No. 22 pick in April, hopeful that he and Harris could form the rushing offense that Harbaugh had envisioned when he was hired.<\/p>\n<p>Hampton had a slow start to the season but quickly became one of the Chargers&#8217; most important players after Harris sustained a season-ending Achilles rupture in the first half against the <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"51042145-e3c1-0694-ae0d-f720342ff8fc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/team\/_\/name\/den\/denver-broncos\">Denver Broncos<\/a> in Week 3. With Harris down, Los Angeles leaned heavily on Hampton, who broke out with a team-high 129 yards from scrimmage and his first NFL touchdown in a 23-20 win.<\/p>\n<p>Hampton had been a consistent, bruising force on the ground and a safety valve in the passing game for Herbert, catching 17 passes from Weeks 3 to 5, tied for second most on the team with wide receiver <a data-player-guid=\"c22ef201-95ad-1740-dd33-3ae06d7e7e68\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/15818\/keenan-allen\">Keenan Allen<\/a>.
