CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – School districts in the Carolinas were adjusting their schedules<\/a> for Tuesday due to wintry weather<\/a> expected to move in overnight.<\/p>\n Several inches of snow were expected to fall across the mountains<\/a> in Western North Carolina late Monday, Dec. 8 and into Tuesday, Dec. 9. Some schools in the area were closing, delaying or shifting to remote learning due to the weather.<\/p>\n In addition to snow to the west, temperatures were forecast to plummet across the Carolinas overnight Monday into Tuesday. Rain had fallen in the Charlotte region throughout the day Monday.<\/p>\n Roadways could be slick Tuesday morning.
