Stroud<\/a> and Co. on Wild Card Weekend, with Pro Bowl receiver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/nico-collins\/\">Nico Collins<\/a> suffering a concussion, Houston\u2019s offense does <em>not <\/em>breed confidence. The defense, on the other hand, commands respect across the globe &#8212; at least according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/calen-bullock\/\">Calen Bullock<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Shoot, I think everybody knows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/calen-bullock-everybody-knows-we-are-the-best-defense-after-texans-swarm-steelers-in-blowout-win\">we are the best defense<\/a>,&#8221; the Texans safety said after his unit completely stifled Pittsburgh in Monday&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/games\/texans-at-steelers-2025-post-1?tab=recap\">30-6 win<\/a>, which was highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/videos\/can-t-miss-play-big-man-td-305-pound-sheldon-rankins-scoops-fumble-for-33-yard-score\">a pair<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/videos\/can-t-miss-play-pick-six-calen-bullock-effectively-ices-steelers-on-50-yard-int-td\">defensive touchdowns<\/a>, including one by Bullock himself. &#8220;The whole world knows that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Citizens of Seattle and Denver might feel differently, but Bullock\u2019s bullishness certainly isn\u2019t unfounded. Houston finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in total defense and No. 2 in scoring D (17.4 ppg, just behind Seattle\u2019s top mark of 17.2). The Texans arguably have the best edge-rushing duo (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/will-anderson-jr\/\">Will Anderson Jr.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/danielle-hunter\/\">Danielle Hunter<\/a>) <em>and <\/em>cornerback combo (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/derek-stingley-jr\/\">Derek Stingley Jr.<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/kamari-lassiter\/\">Kamari Lassiter<\/a>) in the league. Furthermore, heavy hitters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/azeez-al-shaair\/\">Azeez Al-Shaair<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/players\/jalen-pitre\/\">Jalen Pitre<\/a> set the tone for a group that flies to the football like a pack of rabid DOGS.
