The country\u2019s most popular podcaster, Joe Rogan, says he believes immigration raids and accusations of fraud in Minnesota daycare centers are deliberate distractions from the Epstein files, his latest critique as he becomes increasingly critical of President Trump after endorsing his 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n Zuffa LLC<\/small><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n Rogan and his guest, comedian Ehsan Ahmad, criticized the Trump administration\u2019s delayed release of the Epstein files on the latest episode<\/a> of Rogan\u2019s show, released Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Rogan said he feels the Epstein file controversy is \u201cgoing to go on for a long time\u201d and said the \u201cwhole thing is weird,\u201d questioning the Justice Department: \u201cI mean, they said they released them, but, what did they release?\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Ahmad criticized redactions in the Epstein files and said the files have been \u201cdrowned out by everything else that\u2019s been going on,\u201d citing allegations of fraud against Minnesota daycare centers and the shooting of Ren\u00e9e Good by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers earlier this month. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI think some of that\u2019s on purpose,\u201d Rogan whispered into the microphone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Rogan also mocked Trump administration officials and right-wing influencers for standing outside the White House with binders<\/a> labeled \u201cThe Epstein Files\u201d last February and criticized Trump for failing to deliver on a campaign promise to release all Epstein-related documents. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n More than 2 million files<\/a> related to Jeffrey Epstein are still to be released, according to court filings, with only about 12,000 files released so far despite the Justice Department missing a December deadline<\/a> to release them all. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Rogan, who hosted Trump on his podcast in 2024 and endorsed his presidential campaign, has become increasingly critical of the president throughout his second term, particularly over the administration\u2019s handling of the Epstein files and immigration raids. Last week, Rogan called<\/a> the ICE shooting of Good \u201chorrible\u201d on his podcast, stating it\u2019s \u201cvery ugly to watch someone shoot a U.S. citizen, especially a woman, in the face.\u201d Rogan criticized the Trump administration\u2019s defense of the shooting, stating it \u201cseemed like she was turning the car away\u201d from the ICE officer and was not trying to hit him. Rogan said he understands the point of view of people who say the administration has deployed \u201cmilitarized people in the streets just roaming around, snatching people up\u2014many of which turn out to actually be U.S. citizens that just don\u2019t have their papers on them.\u201d Rogan also broke with Trump over intervention in Venezuela<\/a>, calling a potential war a \u201cterrible idea\u201d on his podcast in December. In the same episode, featuring guest Shane Gillis, both Rogan and Gillis criticized Trump\u2019s harsh comments on Rob Reiner following the actor-director\u2019s death, with Rogan saying Trump\u2019s lack of empathy makes it \u201chard to like\u201d him. In July, Rogan criticized<\/a> Trump\u2019s immigration policies as \u201ccrazy\u201d and an \u201covercorrection.\u201d \u201cThey\u2019re kicking students out that write articles they don\u2019t like,\u201d Rogan said, calling it \u201cf\u2014ing crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n Rogan has been the world\u2019s most popular podcaster for years. In December, Spotify<\/a> announced \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience\u201d was the most popular podcast on the platform globally for the sixth year in a row. Rogan is often linked to the \u201cmanosphere,\u201d an informal label for a group of podcasters and influencers that appeal to young men with a conservative tilt. The manosphere\u2019s support of Trump in 2024 was considered important for his election victory as many Gen Z voters shifted to the right<\/a>. During his campaign, Trump appeared on podcasts or streams hosted by Theo Von, Andrew Schulz, the Nelk Boys and Adin Ross.<\/p>\n Some \u201cmanosphere\u201d podcasters who previously interviewed or endorsed Trump have recently distanced themselves from him during his presidency, with Schulz saying<\/a> in July that Trump is \u201cdoing the exact opposite\u201d of what he said during his campaign. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018I voted for none of this,\u2019\u201d Schulz said, stating he wants Trump to \u201cstop the wars \u2014 he\u2019s funding them. I want him to shrink spending, reduce the budget \u2014 he\u2019s increasing it.\u201d Ross<\/a> also said in September he wishes he had never gotten involved in politics, stating he doesn’t think he will \u201cever care enough again for any other politician ever in the future.\u201d Von, whose August 2024 interview with Trump racked up more than 17 million views on YouTube<\/a>, called out the Department of Homeland Security in September for using a clip of the comedian saying, \u201cHeard you got deported, dude, bye!\u201d in a video the agency posted to social media. In a post on X, Von said<\/a>, \u201cYooo DHS i didnt approve to be used in this,\u201d urging the department to \u201cplease take this down and please keep me out of your \u2018banger\u2019 deportation videos,\u201d stating his views on immigration are more complex than a quick sound bite.
