\u201cAs we continue our voyage, we wanted to inform you about a change to our itinerary. Due to damage at the pier in Costa Maya, Mexico, we\u2019ll have to skip our visit and enjoy a sea day instead,\u201d the company explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are terribly sorry for this last-minute change,\u201d Royal Caribbean continued, adding that its notification letter may be used for insurance purposes.<\/p>\n
Offering a seven-night cruise to the Western Caribbean, the Grandeur of the Seas departed from its homeport in Tampa on Jan. 17, 2026.<\/p>\n
In addition to Costa Maya the ship\u2019s original itinerary included visits to Cozumel in Mexico, Roat\u00e1n in Honduras and Belize City in Belize.<\/p>\n
According to Royal Caribbean\u2019s statement, shore excursions booked through the company for Costa Maya were automatically cancelled.<\/p>\n
The company added that full refunds would be issued to guests\u2019 onboard accounts as onboard credits, noting that the amount can be used anywhere onboard.<\/p>\n
Any remaining refundable credits will be refunded to the passengers\u2019 credit cards within business days from final disembarkation, the company continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank you for understanding and look forward to the remainder of our time together,\u201d Royal Caribbean said in its statement.<\/p>\n
Part of the company\u2019s Vision class series, the Grandeur of the Seas was built at the Kv\u00e6rner Masa-Yards in Finland and entered service in 1996.<\/p>\n
The 1,950-passenger ship is currently offering a series of seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean departing from its homeport in Tampa Bay.<\/p>\n
