\n Jersey Shore<\/a><\/em> star Nicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi has revealed she\u2019s been diagnosed with cervical cancer<\/a>. <\/p>\n \n The reality star took to TikTok<\/a> on Friday when she opened up about the news. In the post, Polizzi explained that she was attending a post-op appointment following a cone biopsy. <\/p>\n \n \u201cMy results came back for my cone biopsy, and it came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma,\u201d she said. \u201cObviously not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God!\u201d <\/p>\n \n Mayo Clinic<\/a> defines adenocarcinoma as \u201ca type of cervical cancer begins in the column-shaped gland cells that line the cervical canal.\u201d In her post, Polizzi encouraged viewers to stay on top of routine check-ups that could potentially result in prevention and early detection. <\/p>\n \n \u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m literally telling you guys to get your pap smears done. I\u2019m 38 years old, I\u2019ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd instead of just putting it off because I didn\u2019t want to go and it hurt and I was scared, no, I just went and did it. And it was there, cancer is in there. But it\u2019s stage 1 and it\u2019s curable.\u201d <\/p>\n \n Polizzi, better known to Jersey Shore<\/em> viewers as Snooki, joined the MTV reality series in its inaugural season in 2009. There, she starred alongside a group of friends who vacationed on the Shore in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The show went onto become a pop cultural phenomenon, running from 2009-2012. Polizzi and the Jersey Shore<\/em> crew subsequently starred in the revival Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em> for a whopping eight seasons.<\/p>\n \n \u201cSo get your appointments done, bitches! I\u2019m telling you. Once you go to stage 2, then I think you have to do the chemo,\u201d Polizzi continued. \u201cNobody wants to do that! It\u2019s scary. So get your appointments done.\u201d<\/p>\n \n The Jersey Shore<\/em> star\u2019s Friday post comes after she revealed in a Jan. 20 TikTok<\/a> that her doctor \u201cfound cancerous cells on the top of my cervix\u201d after undergoing a colposcopy and biopsy. <\/p>\n \n And in her Friday post, she shared what her plans moving forward amid the diagnosis look like. <\/p>\n \n \u201cI\u2019m gonna probably get the hysterectomy, because the oncologist said you can either do chemo, radiation or get the hysterectomy,\u201d she said. \u201cObviously, I think the smart choice here is the hysterectomy. I\u2019ll still keep my ovaries, which is a good sign. But yeah, gotta get the cervix and uterus out. And then possibly lymph nodes. I guess it all depends on the PET scan.\u201d <\/p>\n \n \u201cSo 2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to.
