Carlile covered Alanis Morissette<\/a> with Lucius<\/a>, who joined the singer-songwriter onstage each night of the run that also featured new song debuts, other special guests and more. <\/p>\n Longtime Carlile bandmates, bassist Phil Hanseroth<\/strong> and guitarist Tim Hanseroth<\/strong>, were among the musicians joining her at Red Rocks. They shared the stage with SistaStrings<\/a> (Monique Ross<\/strong> and Chauntee Ross<\/strong>), drummer Matt Chamberlain<\/a> and keyboardist Taylor Mackall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Friday\u2019s opening night concert began with the live debut of Carlile\u2019s new single, \u201cReturning To Myself.\u201d The song is the title track to her forthcoming album<\/a>, set for release on October 24. <\/p>\n Lucius vocalists, Jess Wolfe<\/a> and Holly Laessig<\/a>, then made their first of several appearances on the Red Rocks stage over the weekend for \u201cYou and Me on the Rock.\u201d Later in the main set, Carlile debuted the Returning To Myself<\/em> track, \u201cChurch & State.\u201d <\/p>\n Wolfe and Laessig rejoined Carlile for a cover of Alanis Morissette\u2019s \u201cUninvited.\u201d The collaborative cover was repeated in the subsequent two shows, and the pair of guest singers assisted on \u201cTwo of Us on the Run\u201d as well.<\/p>\n On Saturday night, singer-songwriter Allison Ponthier<\/a>, who performed opening sets during the run, appeared during the encore. Ponthier accompanied Carlile on The Highwomen\u2019s song \u201cIf She Ever Leaves Me\u201d and stuck around for \u201cHold Out Your Hand.\u201d Sunday\u2019s closing show featured Ponthier making a similar appearance alongside Carlile. <\/p>\n Carlile\u2019s Red Rocks concerts incorporated songs from her collaborative album with Elton John, plus covers by Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, The Pretenders and Tears For Fears.
