OXFORD, CT (WFSB) – A school in Oxford closed on Monday for mold mediation and cleaning, district officials announced.<\/p>\n
The Quaker Farms School had mold in two classrooms.<\/p>\n
School officials said one was the school\u2019s computer lab while the other was room 320.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth rooms will be retested by EnviroMed [Monday] morning,\u201d district leaders said in a letter to the school community. \u201cIn addition, EnviroMed will be taking samples throughout the entire school to retest Tuesday when occupied.\u201d<\/p>\n
They said they await the test results and approval from the state Department of Public Health.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to make sure that we have all pertinent authorities review this so that we can assure our community that we have done everything possible to remediate and make QFS safe for students and staff,\u201d the letter read.<\/p>\n
