The normal for this time of year is 42 degrees, so it&#8217;s nice to break away from the cold and below normal trend for much of February. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\">\n<div class=\"size-large\"><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Temperatures are dropping quickly again tonight, setting the stage for our next system, which comes in by late Thursday afternoon into early Friday, bringing another messy winter mix. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\">\n<div class=\"size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/GRAF-Model-DMA-New-England-2.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\" \" \/><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\">\n<div class=\"size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/2_612ba2.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\" \" \/><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcboston.com\/weather\/severe-weather-alerts\/\">Winter Weather Advisories<\/a> have already been issued for parts of New England from late Thursday through midday Friday.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\n<div class=\"size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/LKS_WINTER_WEATHER_ADVISORY_4fd2e6.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\" \" \/><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Most of southern New England starts with rain and freezing rain Thursday afternoon. Colder air at the surface becomes more abundant in the evening, leading to more pockets of freezing rain and sleet, mainly along and north of the Mass. Pike. That\u2019s where ice and snow accumulation will create slippery travel through morning commute time on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\">\n<div class=\"size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/futurecast_7b89a7.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\" \" \/><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>After this system, attention turns to a warming trend.
