Dave McMenaminMar 10, 2026, 01:51 PM ET<\/span><\/p>\n Multiple Authors<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n LOS ANGELES — Luka Doncic<\/a> has been fined $50,000 for directing an “inappropriate and unprofessional gesture” toward a referee during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 110-97 win<\/a> over the New York Knicks<\/a>, the NBA announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n With 4:35 remaining in the third quarter Sunday, Doncic attempted to draw a charge on Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara<\/a> but was whistled for a blocking foul.<\/p>\n While Doncic was on the floor after absorbing the contact from Diawara, Doncic rubbed his fingers together — making a money gesture — as he looked at official Tre Maddox.<\/p>\n The fine makes up roughly 0.109% of Doncic’s $46 million salary this season.<\/p>\n Doncic has had frequent run-ins with league officials this season, receiving 15 technical fouls called against him in 52 games played.
