\n Broadway<\/a> dug itself out of the winter doldrums last week, with productions resuming their full, no-snow-days schedules and total box office and attendance rebounding 8% over the previous week<\/a> to $28,123,874 <\/strong>and 238,988<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n \n In all, attendance for the 28 shows was at 91% of capacity, up from 88% the previous wintry week. <\/p>\n \n Helping boost the numbers were recent arrivals Every Brilliant Thing<\/strong><\/em>, starring Daniel Radcliffe<\/a>, which surpassed the million-dollar mark, with its nine preview performances (including a makeup show to compensate for the previous week\u2019s snow cancellation) grossing a big $1,155,640.<\/strong> Opening night at the Hudson is this Thursday, March 12.<\/p>\n \n Also lively was Death of a Salesman<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, director Joe Mantello\u2019s new revival starring Nathan Lane<\/a>, Laurie Metcalf, Christopher Abbott and Ben Ahlers at the Winter Garden. The Arthur Miller classic sold out its first two previews, taking $329,821<\/strong>. Opening night is April 9. See an exclusive first-look image above.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Closing out their runs were All Out: Comedy About Ambition <\/em>and Bug,<\/em> both getting boosts from a surge of last-chancers. All Out<\/em><\/strong>, the staged readings of Simon Rich short stories with a rotating cast \u2014 the most recent being Ray Romano, Nicholas Braun, Jenny Slate and Jake Shane \u2014 was up to 92% of capacity at the Nederlander, with a gross of $695,210<\/strong> showing a boost of $104,706 over the previous week.<\/p>\n \n Bug<\/em><\/strong>, the Tracy Letts play starring Carrie Coon and Namir Smallwood, was up $113,357 over the previous week, hitting $424,743 <\/strong>and filling 96% of seats at the Friedman.<\/p>\n \n Coming in atop the list, yet again, was Harry Potter and the Cursed Child<\/em><\/strong>, with the popular Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy, grossing $2,453,970<\/strong>, the only show taking in more than $2M for the week ending March 8. In second place was Hamilton<\/em> ($1,795,742),<\/strong> followed by Just in Time<\/em> ($1,597,794)<\/strong>, Chicago<\/em><\/strong> ($1,442,266<\/strong>, nine performances) and Wicked<\/em><\/strong> ($1,413,078<\/strong>).<\/p>\n \n Sellouts for the week were Death of a Salesman, Hadestown, Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Just in Time <\/em>and Ragtime. <\/em>Selling at least 90% of available seats were All Out: Comedy About Ambition, Buena Vista Social Club, Bug, Chicago, Every Brilliant Thing, Maybe Happy Ending, Moulin Rouge!, Oh, Mary!, Operation Mincemeat, The Book of Mormon, The Great Gatsby, The Lion King <\/em>(which had a discounted TDF Wednesday matinee), The Outsiders <\/em>and Wicked. <\/em><\/p>\n \n Only two productions fell below the 75% of capacity mark: Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) <\/em><\/strong>(73%, $548,915<\/strong>); and Six<\/em><\/strong> (68%, $503,271<\/strong>).<\/p>\n \n In the 41st week of the 2025-26 season, Broadway has grossed\u00a0$1,479,838,974<\/strong>, up about 7% over last year at this time, with total attendance of\u00a011,118,790<\/strong>,\u00a0up 3%.<\/p>\n \n All figures courtesy of The Broadway League.
