Kurt Russell<\/strong> <\/a>has no qualms about his love of hunting animals.<\/p>\n

Russell, 74, opened up about his views during a Wednesday, March 11, episode of the \u201cTable Manners\u201d podcast. When asked about his opinion on hunting animals, especially elk, he responded, \u201cWell, I thank them for their service.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the way, there\u2019s no pleasure in the taking of life,\u201d he added. \u201cThere\u2019s great pleasure and honor in taking an animal that feeds you. And I respect that and honor that. And it means a big deal to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Russell also noted that he makes \u201cno apologies\u201d for hunting and understands that it\u2019s not everyone\u2019s cup of tea.<\/p>\n

Kurt and Wyatt Russell may be father and son IRL, but they portray the same person in Apple TV+\u2019s new Godzilla series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Playing the character of Lee Shaw at different ages was something the pair were excited to take on. \u201cWe\u2019ve been offered things before that were, you know, father and [\u2026] <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not something I push on anybody,\u201d he said. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s not for everybody, but I like bringing down my own meat. I grew up in that family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wyatt Russell<\/strong>, who is Kurt\u2019s son, also got candid about the lifestyle during the podcast episode. \u201cOne of the things that we\u2019ve really forgotten, especially my children growing up \u2013 you see those things run through your backyard, and you see all kinds of animals, and they\u2019re majestic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wyatt, 39, continued, \u201cBut then you go to the grocery store, and it\u2019s like 90 percent of the people are just in a pack. They don\u2019t know. They have no connection to food at all. And so it\u2019s very nice. You know, we were raised with it to know that the thing that you took is gonna be your dinner meal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kurt shares Wyatt with longtime partner Goldie Hawn<\/strong><\/a>. He is also the dad of Boston Russell, whom he previously welcomed with ex-wife Season Hubley. Hawn, 80, for her part, is mom to Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, whom she shares with ex Bill Hudson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
