The final eight tickets in the NCAA men\u2019s tournament<\/a> Sweet 16<\/a> were punched on Sunday and it\u2019s going to be a Big Ten-heavy second weekend.<\/p>\n

No. 2 seeds Purdue and Iowa State locked up their spots early in the day on Sunday with relatively easy wins. No. 5 St. John\u2019s joined them with a dramatic buzzer-beating layup by Dylan Darling to beat No. 4 Kansas<\/a>. Then, after No. 6 Tennessee held off No. 3 Virginia<\/a>, No. 9 Iowa pulled off the upset of the day<\/a> with a late 3-pointer by Alvaro Folgueiras<\/a>. No. 1 Arizona and No. 2 UConn joined the others later, and No. 4 Alabama routed No. 5 Texas Tech.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, No. 1 seeds Duke and Michigan coasted along with No. 2 Houston and No. 3 Illinois. No. 3 seed Michigan State and No. 4 seeds Arkansas and Nebraska also notched wins. Then No. 11 Texas moved on to next weekend with an upset of Gonzaga.<\/p>\n

It all adds up to six Big Ten conference teams making the second weekend of the Big Dance. The league actually has at least one team in each region, so there could hypothetically be an all-Big Ten field at the Final Four in Indianapolis, too.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s getting ahead of ourselves. We have our 16 teams, and the schedule is set for the next round<\/a>.<\/p>\n
