OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha Fire Department crews hit a snag while fighting a fire in a car lot Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
OFD Fire Captain Eric Jeanneret told First Alert 6 that a crew was dispatched to a car lot near 60th and Q streets Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Once on the scene, however, the crew found that the hydrants on the south side of the property were dry.<\/p>\n
Jeanneret said that four engines were eventually called to supply around 2,700 feet of hose to get water from the nearest hydrant.<\/p>\n
Once the water was flowing, Jeanneret said the fire was easy to fight.<\/p>\n
Around 25 vehicles were burned as a result of the fire. No injuries are reported as a result of the fire.<\/p>\n
Currently, the cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation is underway.<\/p>\n
