WWE Unreal has given fans more access to what goes on behind the scenes than ever before. Because of that, the show has been polarising for fans and wrestlers alike, as some believe it lifts the curtain too far while others argue that it\u2019s a natural evolution of the business.<\/p>\n
As well as Unreal, WWE has recently been using real life in its storylines, with Pat McAfee<\/a> and CM Punk<\/a> talking about WrestleMania ticket sales and prices, among other issues fans have been bringing up in the past few months.<\/p>\n While appearing on Unsportsmanlike<\/a>, Charlotte Flair was asked her opinion on reality being used more by WWE. The Queen has no issues with the idea, saying everyone already knows wrestling is scripted.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery business needs to evolve and we\u2019re here to sell conflict. The older generation, everyone lived in gimmick. Either you play the good guy or the bad guy. You weren\u2019t traveling with the person you were in a feud with. Now, you can see me and whoever I\u2019m wrestling at the gym the next day. We know it\u2019s scripted.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Charlotte Flair added that Unreal has actually helped her career as fans have been able to see the human being behind the villainous character she portrays on TV.<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, Unreal did so much in terms of the fans being able to connect with the person and not just the character. I played my character so well that they believed that I was that bad guy for the last nine years. For me, it did wonders. Everything has to evolve. If you\u2019re really good at your job, it shouldn\u2019t be an issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Although it has been divisive, WWE Unreal has been a success for the promotion, and it was recently nominated for multiple Sports Emmy Awards<\/a>.
