{"id":28070,"date":"2026-04-20T20:02:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T20:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/?p=28070"},"modified":"2026-04-20T20:02:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T20:02:29","slug":"bryson-dechambeau-pushing-for-500-million-liv-golf-deal-after-exploring-options-at-masters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/?p=28070","title":{"rendered":"Bryson DeChambeau pushing for $500 million LIV Golf deal after exploring options at Masters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>LIV Golf\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/15\/sports\/liv-golf-shutdown-rumors-have-left-everyone-in-the-dark\/\">money troubles<\/a> aren\u2019t going to stop Bryson DeChambeau from seeking a massive payday.<\/p>\n<p>The two-time U.S. Open champ\u2019s contract with the rebel golf league ends after this season and, according to The Athletic, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7210948\/2026\/04\/20\/liv-golf-whats-next-funding-saudi-arabia-pif\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he will be seeking a $500 million deal from LIV.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It comes as LIV deals with an uncertain future with Saudi Arabia\u2019s Public Invest Fund (PIF) <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/15\/sports\/liv-golf-execs-have-emergency-summit-with-rumors-of-demise-flying\/\">expected to pull their resources<\/a> from the tour after this season.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><button class=\"button button--modal-trigger\" aria-label=\"Open the image in a modal.\" data-modal-image=\"39142890\"><\/p>\n<p><\/button><figcaption>Bryson DeChambeau reacts during LIV Golf\u2019s Mexico City tournament on April 16, 2026. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>That will force LIV to seek a significant cash infusion to stay alive after starting the league with an open checkbook from PIF that allowed them to poach players such as DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka from the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Athletic reported that DeChambeau \u2014\u00a0even before the LIV rumblings started \u2014 met with different organizations during Masters week to understand his options if he chose to leave the tour.<\/p>\n<p>DeChambeau has plenty of leverage. He was seen on Friday <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/17\/sports\/bryson-dechambeau-sent-over-the-edge-by-shabby-liv-golf-course-conditions\/\">angrily complaining about the course conditions<\/a> at Club de Golf Chapultepec and then pulled out of the tournament on Sunday morning <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/19\/sports\/bryson-dechambeau-withdraws-from-final-round-of-liv-golf-tournament-due-to-injury\/\">with an apparent wrist injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI experienced some discomfort in my wrist during yesterday\u2019s round and have decided to withdraw from the final round of LIV Golf Mexico City to prevent further injury,\u201d DeChambeau wrote on social media. \u201cNot how I wanted this week to go, but wishing the Crushers a strong finish.
