<\/strong>The ATP Masters 1000 event in Madrid holds special meaning for Moller. It was here that he qualified for his ATP Tour debut last year. Although he lost his opening match to then-18-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca<\/a>, the Dane has since grown more comfortable in the high-altitude conditions of the Spanish capital. After returning for the 2026 tournament, he has already collected four wins, including two in qualifying.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>Moller faces a tough challenge against Sinner, one of the cleanest ball-strikers on Tour, but he brings a major weapon of his own: his two-handed backhand. Smooth and explosive, it has underpinned his rise in recent years. In his first-round win over Federico Cina<\/a> in Madrid, Moller fired 29 winners, 14 of them off that wing.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>Moller has enjoyed a string of strong results at ATP Challenger level, claiming four titles so far \u2014 and three of them in an impressive 2025 season. All four titles came on clay and in Oeiras last year, he defeated three Top 100 players (Thiago Monteiro<\/a>, Roman Safiullin<\/a>, and Francisco Comesana<\/a>) while dropping just one set en route to the trophy.

<\/strong>Thanks to his Challenger success in 2025, Moller climbed to a career-high No. 102 in the PIF ATP Rankings in July. With his run so far in Madrid this week, he has risen 18 places to No. 141 in the Live Rankings, and he will aim to keep building momentum toward a Top 100 breakthrough \u2014 regardless of the outcome of his first Lexus ATP Head2Head clash with Sinner.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>Raised in Aarhus, Denmark, Moller developed his game locally before beginning to travel internationally at age 11. His father, Jesper Bak, has played a key role in his journey. Moller is looking to establish himself among Denmark\u2019s top players, following in the footsteps of the likes of former World No. 4 Holger Rune<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
