Online ticket platform StubHub priced its IPO at $23.50, in a share sale that values the company at $8.6 billion.<\/p>\n

The pricing late Tuesday<\/a> landed at the midpoint of the expected range that the company gave last week, raising $800 million. StubHub said its shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday under the symbol “STUB.”<\/p>\n

The San Francisco-based company was co-founded by Eric Baker in 2000, and was acquired by eBay for $310 million\u00a0seven years later<\/a>. Baker reacquired StubHub in 2020 for roughly\u00a0$4 billion<\/a>\u00a0through his new company Viagogo, which operates a ticket marketplace in Europe.<\/p>\n

StubHub has been trying to go public for the past several years, but delayed its public debut twice. The most recent stall came in April<\/a> after President Donald Trump<\/a>‘s “liberation day” tariffs roiled markets.<\/p>\n

The company filed an updated prospectus<\/a> in August, effectively restarting the process to go public.<\/p>\n
