A number of teams are starting to shift their focus to October as the final month of the 2025 MLB regular season continues.<\/p>\n

The Milwaukee Brewers<\/a> and Chicago Cubs<\/a> have both clinched postseason berths, with the Brewers also taking home the NL Central title. The Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> have locked up the NL East title, the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> are headed back to October (again) and the Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> became the first AL team to secure a playoff spot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And in the biggest twists of the 2025 season, the Cleveland Guardians<\/a> have rocked the American League playoff picture with a September surge, emerging as a serious contender in both the AL Central and wild-card race while the New York Mets<\/a>‘ prolonged struggles have opened the door for the Cincinnati Reds<\/a> and Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> in the NL wild-card race.<\/p>\n
