But any way I can help the team, that\u2019s my mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n The @redsoxstats X account noted<\/a> after the win that 20 of Yoshida\u2019s last 33 batted balls have been hard hit.<\/p>\n \u201cThe guy can hit,\u201d Cora said. \u201cHe was banged up and that\u2019s the reason he wasn\u2019t hitting the ball in the air. Last year, he had a major surgery. It took him a while to get going. He\u2019s getting the at-bats and now he\u2019s hitting in the middle of the lineup.\u201d<\/p>\n All of Yoshida\u2019s last seven starts have come in the cleanup spot.<\/p>\n \u201cThis guy has done it before,\u201d Cora said. \u201cHe did it in Japan. He won championships. He carried the offense over there. And I think I\u2019ve been able to show what we\u2019ve been working (on), in the cage, on the field.\u201d<\/p>\n Yoshida is excited about getting his first taste of the MLB postseason.
