\n Prime Video<\/a> has set its cast for upcoming adult animated series Kevin<\/a>,<\/em> written and executive produced by\u00a0Aubrey Plaza<\/a>, who also will star, and\u00a0Joe Wengert<\/a>. Jason Schwartzman<\/a><\/strong> (Isle of Dogs<\/em>), Plaza<\/strong> (The White Lotus<\/em>), Whoopi Goldberg<\/a><\/strong> (The Lion King<\/em>), John Waters<\/a><\/strong> (Hairspray), Aparna Nancherla<\/strong> (The Great North<\/em>), Gil Ozeri<\/strong> (Big Mouth<\/em>) and Amy Sedaris<\/a><\/strong> (Bojack Horseman<\/em>) have been cast as series regulars in the animated comedy.<\/p>\n \n Per the logline, loosely inspired by a real life break-up and the cat who was caught in the middle,\u00a0Kevin\u00a0<\/em>is a hilarious and heart-warming story about finding where you belong in the world. After the unexpected break-up of his human \u201cowners,\u201d\u00a0Kevin\u00a0moves into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens where a chaotic band of misfit animals will help him to figure out what he\u00a0really\u00a0wants out of life.<\/p>\n \n Schwartzman voice Kevin, a loveable and neurotic tuxedo cat who impulsively trades in his sheltered life in a fourth floor walk-up for the excitement and terror of being \u201csingle\u201d in the big city.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n Plaza is Dana, a confident and career-driven young woman, Dana makes the grown up decision to end things with her boyfriend\u2026 but is blindsided by\u00a0Kevin\u2019s choice to venture out and live on his own.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n Nancherla voices Judy, a sweet but sickly Scottish Fold kitten who welcomes\u00a0Kevin\u00a0into his local pet rescue with positivity and an unwavering belief that the perfect human is right around the corner.<\/p>\n \n Waters is Armando, a gorgeous, sarcastic and no-nonsense Persian cat who has sworn off all humans in favor of the freedom he gets out of life as an \u201cindependent\u201d cat.<\/p>\n \n Goldberg voices Cupcake, a wildly unpredictable hairless cat, Cupcake is proudly feral\u2013 she\u2019s only squatting at the pet rescue as long as it provides her with opportunities to con humans and animals alike.<\/p>\n \n Ozeri portrays Seth, the kind and nurturing man who runs \u201cFurrever Friends\u201d pet rescue. He loves his animal residents so much that he lets them walk all over him\u2026 constantly.<\/p>\n \n Sedaris voices Brandi, Seth\u2019s brassy and intimidating little Shih Tzu. Despite being a dog, it\u2019s clear that Brandi is really in charge of the rescue.<\/p>\n \n Kevin<\/em>\u00a0is created and executive produced by Plaza and Joe Wengert, the latter also serving as showrunner. Dan Murphy, Chris Prynoski, Ben Kalina, Shannon Prynoski, and Antonio Canobbio also serve as executive producers.
