Angelina Jolie<\/a> is showing some skin \u2014 and ink!\n<\/p>\n The actress, 50, attended the red carpet premiere for her new film Couture<\/em><\/a> in Rome, Italy, on Saturday, Oct. 18.\n<\/p>\n Jolie wore a caped backless gown, which showed off her gigantic back tattoos, some of which include a large tiger and the Buddhist blessings for peace, love and a prosperous life<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n She accessorized her look for the event held at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica with black heels and matching stockings.\n<\/p>\n Never miss a story \u2014 sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter<\/a> to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer\u200b\u200b, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n <\/span> Jolie plays a mother and filmmaker who’s working on a Paris Fashion Week runway film while getting divorced and learning of a breast cancer diagnosis in Couture<\/em>.<\/p>\n Working on writer-director Alice Winocour\u2019s movie hit close to home for the Oscar winner, who underwent a\u00a0preventive double mastectomy<\/a>\u00a0in 2013 because she carried the BRCA1 gene. Play now!<\/strong><\/a>\n<\/p>\n Jolie told Variety<\/em><\/a> at the\u00a0Toronto International Film Festival<\/a> in September that she knew signing on to the film would \u201cbring up many personal things.”\n<\/p>\n “But I have always found the heaviest films tend to have the most loving sets<\/a>. There\u2019s something quite comforting about having real conversations and having real feelings with a shared community,” the star continued. “It was quite healing in many ways because you look at the other faces of the people on the set, because one in three people have cancer, and most everybody\u2019s been in a hospital room with somebody they\u2019ve loved. Everybody on set has lost someone they\u2019ve loved.\u201d\n<\/p>\n <\/span> Jolie had another big fashion moment while promoting Couture <\/em>at TIFF last month. At the time, she stepped out on a red carpet in a leggy ensemble<\/a>, reminiscent of one worn during her memorable appearance at the 2012 Oscars<\/a>.<\/p>\n Wearing a floor-length brown double-breasted coat featuring buttons that stopped at her waist, the attire created a sultry thigh-high slit that allowed Jolie’s leg to peek through.\n<\/p>\n The mother of six<\/a> wore a similar leg-baring look at the 84th Annual Academy Awards \u2014 a black\u00a0Atelier Versace\u00a0gown with a dramatic slit.
