Paul Scholes<\/a> has said that Manchester United<\/a> trio Luke Shaw<\/a>, Harry Maguire<\/a> and Casemiro<\/a> can no longer cope with the demands of the Premier League.<\/p>\n

All three players are among the more experienced players in Ruben Amorim\u2019s squad and have been regulars under the Portuguese tactician at the start of the season.<\/p>\n

Shaw, who came in for stinging criticism from fellow Man Utd legend Roy Keane after the Manchester derby loss last month<\/a>, has started every Premier League game so far, while Casemiro has missed just one game because of suspension.<\/p>\n

Maguire has featured in all but one of Man United\u2019s eight games across all competitions, though only three have come as a starter.<\/p>\n

The central defender is reportedly in contract talks to extend his stay at Old Trafford<\/a> but comments from Scholes would suggest the club are making a mistake because Maguire along with Shaw and Casemiro have \u201cdropped to a level\u201d that is below what’s required in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Times, the Man United legend said: “Shaw, Maguire, Casemiro, they\u2019ve all been great players but they\u2019re at a stage of their career now where you get found out in the Premier League if you\u2019re not physically good enough.<\/p>\n

“Their bodies are not athletic enough, they\u2019re not strong enough, they\u2019re not quick enough. They\u2019ve dropped to a level where they can\u2019t cope with what\u2019s needed in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

“Every player in the Premier League is an absolute machine. They\u2019ve got five per cent body fat, they can run, they\u2019re strong, they can head it.<\/p>\n

\u201cManchester United are carrying two or three players that are just not capable of living with it.”<\/p>\n
