We ended up spending just under $800.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"ml-4 list-disc\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">I was impressed by the details, especially the presentation of themed cocktails and special dishes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Getting a reservation at Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes&#8217; new restaurant, 1587 Prime, is no easy feat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Some have even compared scoring a table at the new Kansas City steakhouse to snagging coveted tickets to <a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/taylor-swift-eras-tour-facts-earnings-profit-2024-12?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=yahoo.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Taylor Swift's sold-out Eras Tour;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\">Taylor Swift&#8217;s sold-out Eras Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Reservations dropped in August and, within minutes, tables seemed to be fully booked through late October. The restaurant wasn&#8217;t even set to open its doors until late September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">During that first drop, my group was lucky enough to secure a reservation for Saturday, October 18, when I&#8217;d be in town for a Chiefs game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">For me, 1587 Prime was a must-visit spot.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"relative mb-4\">\n<div class=\"relative\"><button aria-label=\"View larger image\" class=\"group absolute bottom-3 right-3 size-10 md:size-[50px] lg:inset-0 lg:size-full lg:bg-transparent\" data-ylk=\"elm:expand;itc:1;sec:image-lightbox;slk:lightbox-open;\"><span class=\"absolute bottom-0 right-0 rounded-full bg-white p-3 opacity-100 shadow-elevation-3 transition-opacity duration-300 group-hover:block group-hover:opacity-100 md:p-[17px] lg:bottom-6 lg:right-6 lg:bg-white\/90 lg:p-5 lg:opacity-0 lg:shadow-none\"><\/span><\/button><\/div><figcaption class=\"relative text-sm mt-1 pr-2.5\"><span class=\"copyright\">Kelsey Huson<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Mahomes and Kelce cofounded the steakhouse in partnership with Noble 33, a hospitality company that specializes in fine-dining concepts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It was immediately on my radar because I&#8217;m a longtime fan of the Chiefs, and Kelce&#8217;s been my favorite player for a decade. We appreciated that they performed at a volume that entertained us but never made us feel like our meal was being interrupted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The band would play a few songs, then take a short break, switching between live music and a well-curated playlist. The cocktail itself was smooth, fruity, and light.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We also ordered the Big Yeti, a play on an old-fashioned. It was brought to our table in a smoked decanter with a glass containing an ice cube imprinted with &#8220;1587.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The server poured the smoky brown liquid over ice and then coated the rim of the glass with an orange peel. The half of my party who did said it was good, though.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The menu featured steaks as we expected, plus several other seafood and land options. The tartar sauce and blistered-tomato relish paired nicely with the cakes, which seemed like they were 85% crabmeat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The chicken came with five chicken strips and a trio of honey sauces \u2014 truffle, hot, and wasabi. Our group of four spent just under $800 before tip on six cocktails, two appetizers, four entr\u00e9es, three sides, and two desserts, plus a few add-ons (like the flamb\u00e9 experience and bleu-cheese butter).<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We were also able to save $50 on our meal using an offer I&#8217;d found online. When all was said and done, my husband and I spent about $427 on our half of the bill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Here&#8217;s the thing: We went into this meal knowing it would be a special experience and splurge.
