It’s likely that Lori Loughlin<\/a> and Mossimo Giannulli<\/a> have split for good.\n<\/p>\n Earlier this month, PEOPLE confirmed that the couple of nearly 28 years had recently separated<\/a>. The actress’ rep Elizabeth Much said in a statement that Loughlin and Giannulli are “living apart and taking a break from their marriage.” Much noted, though, that “no legal proceedings” had begun.\n<\/p>\n A source now tells PEOPLE exclusively that the rocky last few years for the couple “put a strain on their marriage.”\n<\/p>\n “Things have never been the same” after Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, “weathered the college admission fallout and the prison sentences together,” the source says.\n<\/p>\n A rep for Loughlin has not commented, and when reached by PEOPLE, Giannulli said he had “zero comments.”\n<\/p>\n <\/span> In 2020, they pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud<\/a> after they were\u00a0accused of paying $500,000<\/a>\u00a0to get their daughters Olivia and Bella<\/a> into USC. Loughlin\u00a0spent two months in jail<\/a>\u00a0and Giannulli served a five-month sentence<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now, the exes are “living apart and moving on with separate priorities,” and “Lori feels betrayed,” adds the source.\n<\/p>\n “It’s not a happy situation for her,” the source continues. “They’re in very different places right now and it’s unlikely that they’ll find their way back together.”\n<\/p>\n Following the news of the couple’s separation, another insider close to the family told PEOPLE how their daughters Olivia, 26, and Bella, 27, are coping.\n<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no drama or resentment. They\u2019ve seen how hard their mom and dad have tried over the years, and they\u2019re focused on keeping things peaceful and staying close as a family.”<\/p>\n <\/span> The source said that it’s “obviously been tough, but Olivia and Bella aren\u2019t taking sides<\/a>.”<\/p>\n “They both love their parents and just want them to be happy.
