{"id":8743,"date":"2025-11-05T12:42:56","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T12:42:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/?p=8743"},"modified":"2025-11-05T12:42:59","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T12:42:59","slug":"mcdonalds-mcd-q3-2025-earnings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jubi24.com\/?p=8743","title":{"rendered":"McDonald&#8217;s (MCD) Q3 2025 earnings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"RegularArticle-ArticleBody-5\" data-module=\"ArticleBody\" data-test=\"articleBody-2\" data-analytics=\"RegularArticle-articleBody-5-2\"><span class=\"HighlightShare-hidden\" style=\"top:0;left:0\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"InlineImage-imageEmbed\" id=\"ArticleBody-InlineImage-108221418\" data-test=\"InlineImage\">\n<div class=\"InlineImage-wrapper\">\n<div>A McDonald&#8217;s restaurant in Richmond, Virginia, US, on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Al Drago | Bloomberg | Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"group\"><span class=\"QuoteInBody-quoteNameContainer\" data-test=\"QuoteInBody\" id=\"RegularArticle-QuoteInBody-1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/MCD\/\">McDonald&#8217;s<\/a><span class=\"QuoteInBody-inlineButton\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistContainer\" id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\" data-analytics-id=\"-WatchlistDropdown\"><button class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-watchlistButton\" aria-label=\"Add To Watchlist\" data-testid=\"dropdown-btn\"><span class=\"AddToWatchlistButton-addWatchListFromTag\" \/><\/button><\/span><\/span><\/span> on Wednesday fell short of Wall Street&#8217;s earnings expectations, but the company&#8217;s U.S. restaurants <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.mcdonalds.com\/content\/dam\/sites\/corp\/nfl\/pdf\/2025%20Q3%20Earnings%20Release.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> better-than-expected same-store sales growth.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Chris Kempczinski said in a statement that the results are &#8220;a testament to our ability to deliver sustainable growth even in a challenging environment.&#8221; For more than a year, McDonald&#8217;s, long considered a bellwether for the financial health of consumers, has been sounding the alarm about a pullback in restaurant spending, particularly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/08\/06\/mcdonalds-mcd-q2-2025-earnings.html\">from low-income diners<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what the company reported compared with what Wall Street was expecting, based on a survey of analysts by LSEG:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Earnings per share:<\/strong> $3.22 adjusted vs. $3.33 expected<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue:<\/strong> $7.08 billion vs. $7.1 billion expected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The fast-food giant reported third-quarter net income of $2.28 billion, or $3.18 per share, up from $2.26 billion, or $3.13 per share, a year earlier.\u00a0McDonald&#8217;s saw a higher effective tax rate during the quarter, which weighed on its earnings.<\/p>\n<p>Excluding restructuring charges and other items, the burger chain earned $3.22 per share.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>rose 3% to $7.08 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s same-store sales increased 3.6%, a reversal from the year-ago period&#8217;s decline of 1.5% and roughly in line with Wall Street&#8217;s expectations, according to StreetAccount.<\/p>\n<p>In the United States, McDonald&#8217;s same-store sales increased 2.4%, topping StreetAccount estimates of 1.9%. The company credited growth in average check, suggesting that diners are paying more for their meals despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/09\/02\/mcdonalds-value-menu-combo-meals.html\">the ongoing &#8220;value wars&#8221;<\/a> between fast-food chains.<\/p>\n<p>In an appeal to budget-conscious consumers, McDonald&#8217;s brought back its Snack Wraps for the first time in nine years and priced them at $3.99. And in September, the chain reintroduced Extra Value Meals, which it last promoted before the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of the U.S., McDonald&#8217;s saw even stronger same-store sales growth. Its international operated markets division, which includes Australia and Canada, reported a 4.3% increase in same-store sales.
