Tim Tebow<\/strong><\/a> has fully embraced fatherhood, months after welcoming his first baby<\/a> with his wife, former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is awesome, it is one of the biggest blessings in life,\u201d Tim, 38, told TMZ Sports<\/em><\/a> in a story published Wednesday, November 5.<\/p>\n

Tim and Demi-Leigh announced the arrival of their daughter, Daphne<\/a>, via an Instagram<\/a> carousel on July 7. Demi-Leigh explained in the caption that she is named for her mom\u2019s aunt, who \u201cstepped in as a grandma figure to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was so special to my mom and I,\u201d she wrote in the caption. \u201cA tiny, kind and strong South African woman who always had shortbread in the house, was the epitome of grit and grace, loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel and made everyone feel seen and special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tim and Demi-Leigh met in 2018 at a South African event for one of his nonprofits and got engaged six months later. \u201c[Being engaged] is awesome. It\u2019s so incredible and we\u2019re so blessed,\u201d Tim exclusively told [\u2026] <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Demi-Leigh also shared the meaning behind Daphne\u2019s middle name, Reign.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a name that holds so much meaning,\u201d she wrote. \u201cIt\u2019s inspired by a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years. Her story has shaped our hearts in ways I can\u2019t even begin to explain. But more than anything, her name reminds us that when you\u2019re adopted into God\u2019s family, you become a child of the King. You were made to rule and reign \u2014 not in power, but in purpose, love and identity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The family has kept followers updated on Daphne\u2019s first months, chronicling the day they brought her home from the hospital and celebrating each milestone along the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want her to just know that she is loved and priceless to God,\u201d Tim said, speaking to TMZ<\/em> while in New York to promote his new book, \u201cLook Again: Recognize Your Worth. Renew Your Hope. Run with Confidence.\u201d \u201cShe would always know that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demi-Leigh Tebow and her husband, football star Tim Tebow, have a baby girl on the way \u2014 but it sounds like the duo still have plenty of things to figure out before she arrives. While speaking exclusively to Us Weekly about her upcoming children\u2019s book Princess Paris Finds Her Purpose (released on April 1), Demi-Leigh [\u2026] <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Four months in, Tim implied he may be a little sleep-deprived, but he has welcomed everything fatherhood brings with it. Asked what the biggest challenge has been so far, he replied, \u201cJust trying to do everything to protect her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tim is a two-time national champion quarterback at the University of Florida. The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner went on to play three seasons in the NFL before trying his hand at a baseball career. He now works for ESPN as a college football analyst.<\/p>\n
