A new trailer has arrived for \u201cThe Housemaid,\u201d and to ring in the holiday season, it\u2019s wishing everyone \u201ca merry little mindf\u2013k.\u201d<\/p>\n
That comes in large part thanks to Amanda Seyfried\u2019s Nina, who hires Millie (Sydney Sweeney) as her live-in housemaid. Though Nina\u2019s life and home seem idyllic, it quickly becomes clear that all is not well \u2014 and that Nina might be a bit unhinged.<\/p>\n
At one point, she frantically rifles through the fridge, screaming about Millie throwing away her PTA notes. But just as quickly, she settles down and is calmly telling Millie she needs to be more careful.<\/p>\n

Set to Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u201cPlease Please Please,\u201d things only get more intense \u2014 and slightly terrifying, with glimpses of Nina holding a bloody knife \u2014 until finally, a bloodied Millie (who also appears to be a prison inmate in one shot?) declares she needs \u201ca f\u2013king sandwich.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Lionsgate film, directed by Paul Feig, is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Freida McFadden. Per the official logline, it brings audiences into a \u201ctwisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trying to escape her past, Millie accepts this job, but it quickly becomes \u201ca sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal and power.\u201d In addition to Sweeney and Seyfried, the film stars \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d and \u201cDrop\u201d star Brandon Sklenar.<\/p>\n
