It was his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who\u2019s 24, that seemed to become the program\u2019s unofficial face after being spotted chatting up legendary coach Bill Belichick during UNC\u2019s season opener. Belichick\u2019s grand North Carolina opening act started on a positive note: a Tar Heels score, a quick ESPN cut to Hudson beaming on the sidelines, and an appearance alongside NFL legend Randy Moss in a VIP suite. Then reality hit: 41-straight TCU points, sections emptying, and ESPN cameras considering maybe they\u2019d better cut off Bill\u2019s young girlfriend before things soured too far.<\/p>\n

Fans waved a Carolina-blue sign featuring not His Airness\u2019s logo but Belichick\u2019s notorious beach yoga pic: him lying on his back in the sand, Hudson floating above him in mid-air like he was practicing Cirque du Soleil. Barstool Sports\u2019 Dave Portnoy christened it \u201cAll time Top 1 sign,\u201d and truth be told? He may be correct.<\/p>\nThere were also special \u201cJordon\u201d No. 23 jerseys and even a \u201cHair Jordan: We\u2019re not even going to discuss this\u201d t-shirt, alluding to the CBS interview in which Hudson comically closed off discussion about their relationship. Chapel Hill didn\u2019t only have a football game going on, but rather a Jordon Hudson fan fest.<\/p>\n
The Game That Everyone Forgot<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Oh, right. The football.<\/p>\n
Four passes completed by quarterback Gio Lopez. All season long. One was a pass to the opposing team and back for a TCU touchdown. Then some fans got up in droves during the third quarter like the stadium was afire and ESPN\u2019s Kirk Herbstreit was hot-miked grumbling either \u201cyou\u2019re bad\u201d or \u201cthey\u2019re bad.\u201d Aren\u2019t both correct?.<\/p>\n
Backup Max Johnson, who is the son of Super Bowl champion Brad Johnson, came in late, threw a TD to his bro Jake, and at least made it a bit less like a crime scene. By then, though, the Tar Heels were buried under nearly 300 passing yards, 258 rushing yards, and four touchdowns by the Horned Frog.<\/p>\n
Even Belichick confessed:<\/p>\n
\n\n\u201cGive credit to TCU, they came out and did a good job, they were the better team tonight. We have quite a bit to work on.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What was to be a historic collegiate coaching appearance, 34 years after his first NFL game with Cleveland, turned into a genuine reality TV special. With the \u201cAir Jordon\u201d flag flying high, Hudson\u2019s brief appearance on ESPN, the Tar Heels folding on nationally televised telecasts, and Belichick\u2019s first night in college ball did it all except play good football.<\/p>\n
And while none other than Michael Jordan was sitting to watch his team in action, Hudson Jordon hogged the camera. UNC lost not only to TCU but to the memes as well.<\/p>\n
