‘The Pitt’ Adds Four To Recurring Cast For Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: HBO Max‘s hit medical drama The Pitt has added four recurring guest stars to its Season 2 cast. They include Brittany Allen (The BoysDexter: Original Sin), Bonita Friedericy  (A Friend of the FamilyChicago Med), Taylor Handley (Mayor of KingstownGriselda) and Jeff Kober (The Walking DeadSons of Anarchy).

The Noah Wyle-led and executive produced series returns with its sophomore season in January. It is set 10 months after the events of the Season 1 finale and takes place over Fourth of July weekend.

From creator R. Scott Gemmill and producer John Wells, The Pitt chronicles the urgent challenges U.S. frontline healthcare professionals face through the lens of the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s emergency department. Offering a real-time format, the series traces, hour by hour, the medical cases and personal crises physicians and nurses must navigate as they reckon with an overabundance of patients and a lack of resources.

Descriptions for the four new additions can be found below.

Allen will play Roxie Hamler, an Emergency Department patient; Friedericy as Cora Wilkins, a woman visiting a patient in the Emergency Department; Handley as Paul Hamler, husband of an Emergency Department patient; Kober as Duke, a motorcycle engineer who goes way back with one of the doctors.

In addition to Wyle, The Pitt also stars Katherine LaNasa, Shawn Hatosy, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Supriya Ganesh, Shabana Azeez and Gerran Howell. New Season 2 additions include Sepideh Moafi as a series regular, and Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson and Lawrence Robinson in recurring roles.

The series is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where the company is under an overall deal. Gemmill created the series and serves as an executive producer alongside Wells, Wyle, JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, Joe Sachs and Michael Hissrich.

Allen is repped by Luber Roklin Entertainment and The Characters Agency; Friedericy is represented by Trademark Talent; Handley is represented by Paradigm Talent Agency and Anonymous Content; and Kober is represented by DiSante Frank & Company and Artists and Representatives Agency.
