The restaurant will be located in the former Venue Gentleman’s Club on Southeast Stark Street, just north of Mall 205.
The Oregonian reported Tuesday that a new Chick-fil-A will open “in early 2026, pending any delays.”
The restaurant will be located in the former Venue Gentleman’s Club at 9950 S.E. Stark St.
The Georgia-based chain announced its plans to move into the Portland area earlier this year, but said it wouldn’t happen until 2027. On its website, the location is titled “Mall 205” and is listed as “Coming Soon.” Public records show the chain acquired the site in 2024 for $3.2 million.
Chick-fil-A has been expanding its locations internationally for most of 2025, but the chain hasn’t operated in Portland since 2003 when the Lloyd Center location closed.
Chick-fil-A first filed permits for the location in 2023. News reports in April detailed early construction, which was hampered by a January 2025.
The latest regional Chick-fil-A to open was the Lake Oswego location at 14801 Kruse Oaks Blvd., which was announced via commercial construction building permits in September 2024.
And in October, Chick-fil-A announced that it would open six new locally owned and operated restaurants by 2027, generating over 600 jobs in the state.
