Former Nebraska quarterback target Alex Manske has announced plans to enter the transfer portal next month. Manske was a four-star recruit coming out of high school.

He was the 20th overall quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, and the second overall player in the state of Iowa according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Nebraska officially offered him in June 2023.

The quarterback had a decorated high school career. He finished with 1,933 passing yards, 49 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also proved to be effective on the ground, rushing for 1,414 yards and 27 touchdowns. He made the 2024 Elite 11 Finals one of the most prestigious honors in high school football.

Now, he is in the transfer portal. The Huskers pursued him heavily during his high school career, and they could check in on him once again. The program needs quarterbacks on its roster, and he would undoubtedly be a solid building block.
