Stepping out last night for the Los Angeles premiere of Wuthering Heights, Robbie—styled by Andrew Mukamal—wore a Schiaparelli couture gown, made custom from the spring 2026 couture show offering that just debuted in Paris. While on the runway the dress was blue and black with a trompe-l’œil design, Robbie’s look leaned into more Victorian-era flourishes, with a laced strapless bodice and an onyx and scarlet red gradient petal skirt, striking colors which borrowed from other styles in the show.
The finishing touch, however, was the jewelry: Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic heart-shaped Taj Mahal diamond set in a Cartier necklace. Famously, the necklace was gifted to Taylor by her two-time husband Richard Burton over five decades ago for her 40th birthday. It’s one of the most iconic pieces from the storied fine jewelry collection of the late Hollywood legend, rich in romance and history—perfect to kick off the Wuthering Heights tour.

The opulent heart-shaped pendant, mounted in jade with a custom gold, ruby, and diamond chain, has an inscription in Parsee that reads: “Love is Everlasting,” as well as the name of Nur Jahan, who was the first woman to receive the jewelry as a gift from her husband, the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahangir.
The jewels were passed down to their son, Shah Jahan, who gave it as a gift to his own wife, Mumtaz Mahal. When she passed away four years later, the-then emperor commissioned the Taj Mahal mausoleum as a tribute. The monument, then, inspired the diamond’s name.
