Milan’s Duomo draws millions with its stunning architecture

With the Eiffel Tower is to Paris, the Duomo is to Milan, and it is spectacular, especially if you get *** chance to see it up high. More than 5 million visitors come to visit the Duomo, or the Milan Cathedral, every year. The Catholic Gothic Church is an iconic image in this city. There are 3400 statues and stained glass windows, and it took 6 centuries to build. In fact, it kind of looks like it’s constantly under renovation, and this is the largest church in Italy. The gilded Madonina or the Little Madonna towers 365 ft over the Duomo, and by law no other building in the city was supposed to come close to it in height. Now things did change, but *** lot of skyscrapers, when they do come to that height, will put *** little replica of it at the top. As amazing as visiting Piazza del Duomo is, there’s *** new attraction in this area, and it would appear that it is us. We’re doing our live shots right across from the Duomo, so we’ve gotten *** real kick out of seeing the people over on that terrace waving at us and taking pictures at the Milan Cortina Olympics. I’m Deirdre Fitzpatrick. Yeah
