OXFORD, CT (WFSB) – A school in Oxford closed on Monday for mold mediation and cleaning, district officials announced.
The Quaker Farms School had mold in two classrooms.
School officials said one was the school’s computer lab while the other was room 320.
“Both rooms will be retested by EnviroMed [Monday] morning,” district leaders said in a letter to the school community. “In addition, EnviroMed will be taking samples throughout the entire school to retest Tuesday when occupied.”
They said they await the test results and approval from the state Department of Public Health.
“We want to make sure that we have all pertinent authorities review this so that we can assure our community that we have done everything possible to remediate and make QFS safe for students and staff,” the letter read.
