After a deflating Week 1 loss to Ohio State in a highly anticipated matchup between the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in the country at the time, Texas turned around and easily dispatched San Jose State 38-7 on September 6.
Now, the Longhorns will aim to keep their winning ways going.

After being held to 170 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the loss to the Buckeyes, Arch Manning rebounded effectively in Week 2, throwing for 295 yards and four touchdowns against San Jose State. Manning was a threat with his legs, as well, rushing for 23 yards and a touchdown on four carries.
Saturday’s game will be the fifth between the Longhorns and Miners since 2008, with Texas winning each of the previous four matchups by at least 34 points. In its second season under coach Scotty Walden, UTEP is 1-1, with a win against UT Martin and a loss at Utah State.
