Worlds collided at the AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards when Jaafar Jackson met Michael Jackson content creator, Fabio Jackson.

Jaafar’s father is Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s older brother.

Fabio, who boasts over 12 million followers on TikTok, showed up to the awards show in a black military-style jacket, similar to those often worn by MJ. In addition to meeting Jaafar, Fabio also shared photos of himself posing with Spike Lee and Martin Lawrence.

Earlier this month, Jaafar appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he discussed playing his late uncle in the Antoine Fuqua-directed Michael. He revealed that he “never wanted to be an actor” before getting involved in this project, though he “grew up loving” his uncle’s music.

Jackson called transforming into MJ both a “surreal” and “spiritual” moment for him. “It was emotional,” he added.

Michael debuts in theaters on April 24.
