OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Paramedics were called to an Omaha high school after an altercation in a bathroom Monday afternoon.
Police say the incident happened at Omaha Central around 1:30 this afternoon.
In a release sent to parents of students, Omaha Central says the school was placed on hold for 30 minutes due to an altercation in a bathroom.
During a hold, hallways are cleared and students remain in their classrooms. The school says that learning resumes as normal during a hold.
The school’s resource officer and staff responded to de-escalate the situation, and paramedics were called to assist with a student needing medical attention. Law enforcement and district safety were contacted to assist in responding to the incident.
