“South Park” showrunners Trey Parker and Matt Stone didn’t make deadline last week. Thankfully, this week they managed to turn episode 5 in on time, which means it will be airing tonight.
In a post on the official “South Park” X page, Parker and Stone stated that last week’s delay was due to them creating the episodes at the last minute and being unable to finish the episode in time to air on its intended date of Wednesday, Sept. 17.
To remind you — episode four centered around Butters on the hunt for one of the creepy-cute Labubu dolls, plus we found out that Satan is carrying Trump’s baby and Jesus is not doing well as a guidance counselor.
This week’s episode is titled “Conflict of Interest” and will see Kyle and Cartman at odds when a prediction markets app gets popular with their fellow students.

Episode 5 of “South Park” season 27 will air tonight, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. Arizona time on Comedy Central.

The new “South Park” schedule has the latest episodes releasing on a bi-weekly schedule. So, episode 5 will air Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 10 p.m. Arizona time on Comedy Central and become available to stream the following day on Paramount+.
Initially, showrunners Trey Park and Matt Stone had intended for the 10-episode season to come out weekly, but according to Deadline, a source close to the show’s producers told the publication that “so much happens right now in just one day with Trump. No one’s going to sacrifice getting it right, even if we have to push getting it to air, and if that makes the season longer, so be it.”

In the season’s off-weeks, Comedy Central has been re-airing previous episodes from season 27 on Comedy Central. However, in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s death, they pulled episode 2 from the lineup on Wednesday, Sept. 10 which had Cartman mimicking the conservative social media influencer.
There’s no word on whether the episode will air this week or the next, but it can still be streamed on Paramount+ along with the rest of the “South Park” catalogue.
