The next major match for “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns may take place inside the brutal confines of WarGames. A new report suggests that the current plan for Reigns at the Survivor Series premium live event is for him to compete in the titular match.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, in San Diego, California. On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Reigns is expected to be in the faction warfare match rather than a one-on-one contest.
“I think Roman’s definitely doing the San Diego show, but he’s not in a singles match in San Diego, he’s in the WarGames, unless they change,” Meltzer stated.

Meltzer also noted that a potential singles match between Reigns and his rival, Seth Rollins, is not expected any time soon. “There’s no Roman Reigns/Seth Rollins match before at the earliest January… I think it’s probably WrestleMania as a guess,” he added.
A WarGames match would be the logical culmination of the long-standing feud between the reformed Bloodline and The Vision. The rivalry began at WrestleMania 41 when Paul Heyman betrayed Reigns to align with Seth Rollins.
After being written off television by an attack from The Vision, Reigns returned in July to save CM Punk and Jey Uso. This led to Reigns and Uso defeating Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at SummerSlam. The feud has only intensified since then, leading to Reigns’ most recent return to save The Usos from another attack by the faction.
Before he can get to Survivor Series, Reigns must first face Bronson Reed in a one-on-one Australian Street Fight at the Crown Jewel event this Saturday, October 11. The outcomes of that match, as well as the champion vs. champion main event between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, will directly shape the landscape and determine which faction holds the momentum heading into the brutal confines of WarGames.
