Austin Peay football looks to make it three wins in a row against one of its longtime rivals in Week 7 of the college football season.

The FCS No. 16 Governors (4-2, 2-1 United Athletic Conference) head to Richmond, Kentucky to face Eastern Kentucky (2-3, 0-1) on Oct. 11 (5 p.m., ESPN+). APSU is coming off two straight wins at home, including a 44-30 win over previously undefeated West Georgia on Oct. 4.

Austin Peay and Eastern Kentucky have a long history from their time in the Ohio Valley Conference. EKU leads the all-time football series 48-8 and beat the Govs 30-27 in double overtime last November in Clarksville.

The Colonels are coming off an open week after beating Nicholls 27-7 in Week 5. They have the lowest-scoring offense (16.6 points per game) and average the fewest yards (219.2) in the UAC. However, they went 8-5 and reached the FCS playoffs last season, losing in the first round to Villanova.

Austin Peay quarterback Chris Parson, a Mississippi State transfer who leads the UAC in total yards with 1,600 (1,372 passing, 228 rushing), spearheads an offense averaging 35.5 points. On defense, the Govs allow a conference-low 299.5 yards per game.
