With the NFL trade deadline approaching, Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. is a name that is reportedly popping up in conversations.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Jaguars are “listening” to trade calls for Thomas Jr., even if a move does feel “highly unlikely.”

After a huge rookie season in 2024, Thomas Jr. has been unable to find a consistent footing in 2025.

He and quarterback Trevor Lawrence haven’t been able to develop a strong connection, while Thomas Jr. has also dealt with dropped passes.

Thomas has had a lot of opportunities with 54 targets coming his way, but he’s caught just 27 of those throws and is averaging 13.5 yards per catch with a touchdown.

His six dropped passes are the second-most in football, according to PFF.

The Jaguars want to get Travis Hunter more involved on offense, and Parker Washington’s opportunities have continued to expand. The team also has Dyami Brown under contract for the 2025 season.

This would be quite a shocking move made by the Jaguars, but perhaps GM James Gladstone is just doing his due diligence and hearing out what offers for Thomas Jr. might look like.
